Smart Life is up to hosting a show for blue-collar friends, this is to discover the hidden talent for the talented singers & dancers and give them a platform they deserve. A show named Smart Idol is taking place for talent searching purposes within the blue-collar workers.

What is Smart Idol?

Smart Idol is a unique talent show that happens to find out the hidden talents in the blue-collar workforce(in UAE). SmartLife, a CDA licensed NGO, is behind the idea of Smart Idol. Smart Idol is responsible for giving the blue collars brothers and sisters a chance to showcase their singing and dancing talent.

Smart Idol has covered twice the labour accommodations in Dubai from last year that is – 30 labour accommodation this year! A few of the auditions also happened at Servhub labour accommodations in Jebel Ali. 2,000 employees were auditioned, 50 of our guest living in our labour accommodation in Jebel Ali participated in the audition.

When it is going to take place?

The Smart Idol team has dedicated 4 days a week (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) to cover different labour accommodations for auditioning and rating the Talents. After the audition process is done, quarter-finals will take place. This event will last for 3-4 months.

The auditions will take place in the month of February, and it will be done by the end of the month followed by the screening rounds in upcoming months. The Finals of Smart Idol 2019 is scheduled to take place on 26th April 2019.

How to Participate in Smart Idol 2019?

If the auditions are not happening in your labour accommodation then you can participate through Facebook by uploading your video and using the hashtag :#SmartIdol

A high profile jury panel will select the top talents (for singing & dancing), these talents will then be trained and mentored to fine-tune their skills.

What Servhub has to do with it?

We are proud to tell you that we are a sponsor for this event. In fact, the audition happened in one of our camps in Jebel Ali. Yesterday, Smart-Life Team auditioned 50 of the talents staying in our camps and we are proud that 2 of them got selected for quarter finals.

Smart Life has announced prize money for the winners of Smart Life 2019:

1st Prize – 5,000 AED (Each for the winner of Singing & Dancing).

2nd Prize – 2,500 AED (Each for the runner up of Singing & Dancing)
